One Last Time For the Gob’met Educated 04.25.06

In response to public outcry for an investigation into high gas prices, President Bush is now being forced to appease the public by way of ordering an all out investigation into big oil companies.
Just like all other investigations into price gouging this will go nowhere but will end up costing the tax payers alot of money. Which I guess will give the public something to bitch about next month.
I dont understand why it is so hard for people to understand a little thing called "Supply and Demand". They taught the theory of Supply and Demand in government schools. I know, I went to one. The supply of crude oil is limited, but the demand is increasing. As a result we get higher prices at the pump. It's not Bush's fault, and it's not the oil companies fault. If you want someone to blame, try the environmentalist that fights any and all exploration for new sources of crude oil. Or better yet, look in your rearview and blame ourselves. We are the society that is too lazy to get up and walk somewhere, too caught up in everyday life to stay home with our families one day a week and not drive.
P.S. …Do you have any idea how much fuel one of those environmentalist group's desiel iron hulled boats burns in a day? If they would park that thing, they could save some fuel.

I tell ya, these people today. You have to be so sensitive to every little thing because the majority of
America is so unforgiving and so quick to jump on the band wagon.
Recently, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream released a new flavor called "Black & Tan" in reference to the ale/stout drink of the same name. Well unbeknownst to Ben and Jerry "Black & Tan" is also the name of a British Militia that operated during
Ireland's war of independence. Now people are up in arms over it. Ben and Jerry's had to release an official statement apologizing for the name. What about every bar in
America as well as all over the world who serve the drink called "Black & Tan"? Should they apologize as well?
One person actually wrote on a blog called "Junkfoodblog": "I can't believe that Ben & Jerry's would be so insensitive to call an ice cream such a name and to launch it as a celebration of Irishness … it's an insult!"
-
If you visit a news blog called "Junkfoodblog" on a regular basis you probably have a different set of issues that needs to be addressed on "Getalifeblog."
-
I don’t know which is worse, the fact that you visit a blog called "Junkfoodblog", or the fact that you visit so often you feel that leaving a comment on said blog will vindicate you as a way of showing your distain for the British Militia.

There are now stories in the news about gas shortages. I'm sure they will be blamed on Bush and his greed and the fact that he wants to make all his oil buddies rich. However, lets remember that the crude oil prices are set by the market that we the consumers control by our buying and spening habits. But if it makes you feel better or vindicated to blame Bush..then blame Bush. You gotta do what you gotta do, I gotta do what I gotta do.
Anywho, would you like to know the truth from someone who works in the oil industry. Or would the truth destroy your Bush hating tactics? The truth? Blame the environmentalists, not Bush. Right now there are several refineries that are shut down so they can change their product specs and gasoline blends to appease all the tree huggers out there. Right now we have refineries that have shut down so that they can reformulate their refining blends. We ship 54 different blends of refined crude oil to answer everyone's environmental concerns. Now add to that the fact that the tree huggers have demanded an ethanol based fuel and ultra low sulfer deisel fuel. So to accomodate there whining on these issues current tanks must be drained, taken offline, and scrubbed. The fuel that is planned to go into these tanks is so volitile that any impurities what-so-ever would ruin the entire tankful. So as the price rises while you are refueling your oversized SUV, walk over to a tree and hug it.

I hear alot of people lately bitching about rising gas prices. Im one of them as well. I hate it. Living in Atlanta, it really ticks me off to think of how much money I spend daily sitting in traffic to get to work. Everyday I pass gas stations and the prices get higher and higher. Im begining to wonder if there will ever be an end to it.
The one thing I dont see from all the people who constatnly complain about rising gas prices is any type of willingness to change their lifestyle in an attempt to try and restore gas prices to their once affordable levels. People want to blame Bush for the increase in gas prices. George Bush didnt set the crude oil prices. YOU did.
These people will sit at the gas pump, filling up their SUV/Tank and complain aloud as if that is going to magically lower the price at the pump. What did you think was going to happen when you bought that HUMMER that gets 9miles to the gallon? You want lower gas prices? Park your car for a day. If everyone would step back and look at what is going on the solution is very simple. Park your car for a day. Think about it..If we could all park our cars for one day a week, it would bring the oil companies to their knees.
Me…I'm special. I'm aloud to bitch and moan because I park my truck for a minimum of 1 day a week, my wife as well. Most weeks 2 days. But I have a gift. I dont mind being at home. Actually I prefer it to dealing with the masses. Besides I really dont care to hear some soccer mom bitch about rising gas prices while she drives her SUV load of "Riddlin Induced" kids to a gob'ment school. To which they could have just rode the bus that my tax dollars pay for and fuel although my child does not and will not take part in "da gob'ment edumacation system."

So summer time is upon us and im out shopping for some FLIP FLOPS and I found this.
Hillary Clinton – Feb. 11, 2003
"I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants. People have to stop employing illegal immigrants."
Hillary Clinton – April 10, 2006
"Your faces are the faces of America. Your faces are the faces of those who give us a fair day's work — and often not for a fair day's pay."
Look out! This train is slowing down, let's jump on another one…..
It just goes to show you that the Dems and Liberals don't care what the facts or the issues are. They are easily persuaded to follow the loudest person in the room. They don't even care if that person "waffles" back and forth on an issue.
In local news…
Atlanta area Gob'ment schools are trying to cut out "Music" and "Foreign Language" from their curriculum. It seems as though the non contributing members of society in the city of Atlanta are multiplying too quickly and the schools need to make cutbacks in order to hire more babysitters teachers to watch their kids. Not to worry though, the parents have started a protest group. You know, I can’t think of two more worthless classes than Music and Foreign Language however, if the Democrats have their way we may need to start teaching Spanish as our primary language.
Oh yeah one last thing. Delta.
Delta is about to go under cause their over paid pilots are refusing to take a pay cut. Now, I don’t blame them for wanting to take a pay cut. Hell I wouldn’t take one either. But here is the thing….Delta is their employer. If they don’t want to take a pay cut, fire them. That’s the beauty of being the employer. Oh no wait, dammit I forgot about the Union. That’s right; when average working people don’t want to take responsibilities for their own actions they start a union. That way they can just refuse to work and they are untouchable. And who gets screwed in the end? You and I in the form of a $600 plane ticket and "attitude" from a gay man who thinks his calling in life is flying around the country and prevent me from drinking an entire Diet Coke in one sitting. I hope Delta does go under to tell you the truth. It would pave the way for more cost efficient carriers (*cough* Southwest) to come to Atlanta. With the new runway that was just built at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport they will be begging carriers to come here.
Civil Rights? What Rights? 04.10.06

Over 500,000 undocumented workers illeagal immigrants gathered and marched in over 6 major U.S. cities this past weekend. For what? Exercise? No, for their rights. What rights? The right to stay here and work illeagally? The right to not pay taxes and expect to have a voice in our society? Many, if not most, of these people have no real desire to even become Americans. They want to take advantage of living in America but dont want to become a part of our society.
There was an interview on the news last night with an illegal family. A family that has been here illeagally for over five years. The father gave his interview through the help of an interpreter. They have been here five years and still havent learned our language. Because it's not about becoming an American. It's about bringing Mexico to America.
Nothing irritates me more than having to call a customer service line or go to the ATM and having to choose "1" for English. I'm an American. I should expect to speak my own language in my own country. Why must I change my way of life or bend the rules to accomodate a criminal. Yes criminal. If you are here illegally, that is a crime, you are a criminal. "But Mark, they are here to live the American dream." Fine by me, obey the laws and apply to be a legal citizen. And start living your dream pal.
Also in the news today….Saudi Arabia is planning to build a 500+ mile fence along the entire Iraqi border. I know some illegal workers that put up some fences in my neighborhood.
Hands up Peter…I’m givin’ this money to Paul 04.07.06

I have a wonderful job. No bullshit. Im serious. I love my job. Im treated well, my opinion is respected, and we are given a long leash as long as our job performance does’nt suffer. One of the perks of my job is a yearly bonus. In a nut shell..if my employer satys below their estimated yearly expense budget and realizes their projected profits, everything above that is split up among the employees. It’s an awesome system. This is one company I can say truly cares about its employees.
Having said that, we just recieved our yearly bonus for how well we did in 2005. It was direct deposited into my bank account on my last paycheck. I recently decided to analyze said paycheck. I realized something, the amount of taxes I paid on my bonus completly ate up the salary portion of my paycheck. Thats bullshit.
I dont believe that government should take stuff away from those who prosper because they work hard and make good decisions, and give that stuff to people who aren’t willing to work hard and who put no thought into the consequences of the decisions they make. If you believe in punishing behavior that improves our society and our economy, then you should be a Democrat.
“But Mark, we need to try and better society and support our government imposed system of welfare by helping those who are less fortunate.” Less fortunate? So the reason im in the position im in is becuase im more fortunate, or as some might say LUCKY?
Again, I cry….BULLSHIT
Cynthia McKinney…Just Keeping it REAL, G! 04.06.06

Look, I have no doubt that racism still exists on many levels. However, I do believe that when most people scream "RACISM" they are confused and dont even know the meaning of the word racism. What they really mean is prejudice. Next time some says something is racist, ask them to define the word. You will be amazed. But if this was a racially motivated incident, perhaps the congresswoman moron can show us some examples of white members of congress sliding through security without their badges or congresional pins on that same day. Probably not. Here is a quote from Cynthia McKinney in an interview she gave with Wolf Blitzer.
"I’ve looked like this for the entire 11 years that I have been in Congress. And so, I don’t understand exactly why it is that certain police officers have a problem remembering my face…."
In all fairness to the Capitol Police, they have to deal with 535 members who are allowed to pass by the metal detectors. In order to aid in such things members have pins that they are supposed to wear. If MicKinney can't remember to wear a quarter inch piece of metal, it's her own fault.
Not only that but, she also hasn't been there for 11 years straight… in 2002 she was ousted by her own district after going crazy on the house floor over the war in Iraq.
But if you break it down, the thing that really pisses me off is that there even is going to be a grand jury and possible trial over this incident. At the taxpayer's expense! So what if she is found guilty. Whats going to happen? Not a damn thing. We will pay the legal bill, Cynthia McKinney will return to work with a slap on the hand, the police officer in question will most likely be relieved of duty and the "Dumbass" voters of the 4th district will re-elect her next term. Im just very surprised we havent heard from Jesse yet. Oh thats right…he's off helping poor, poor Barry Bonds.
Perhaps we are all being too hard on McKinney. She has done many wonderful things as a memeber of congress. After all, she DID introduce the Tupac Amaru Shakur Records Collection Act of 2005! Remember Tupac?
