Aint it funny how things work.  For example if you take some funny pictures of prisoners in Abu Ghraib prison with underwear on their head, all the human rights groups and human rights activists come out of the wood work and scream and cry “Prisoner Abuse” and “Foul Play.”

But where were these wackos when American soldiers where kidnapped, tortured and ultimately killed?

Let's see Zarqawi is dead, Sadam is no longer in power, millions liberated, there is good evidence that the Iraqi insurgency is on the run soooooo…..

It's time to cut and run.  Bring the troops home.  The war is a failure, they say.

First the Democrats said we need to "PULL OUT" of Iraq.

Then we needed to think about "RE-DEPLOYMENT"  (re deply to where?)

Now we need to "EMPOWER" Iraq, by leaving.

Anyway you slice it, is is "Leftist Defeatism" at its best. Failure in Iraq is not too great a price to pay for a Democratic victory in November.

The Democrats strategy is simple: Bush must fail, most Democrats are sheep, so back to the game plan…"The War is a Failure, Bush is a Terrorist, Its a War for Oil"

Without being able to run against the war in Iraq, they don't have much.

I recently put a comment on my friend's blog about Arlen Specter (chairman of the Judiciary Committee), and his campaign to keep gas prices low by punishing the oil corporations with a windfall tax. Where as most American's would jump at the opportunity to stick it to big Oil Corporations and say "Hell Yeah, tax those money grubbing bastards."  I feel a little differently.

Corporations do not pay taxes. The shareholders and customers of corporations pay those taxes. So guess what that means? If he got his way, the oil companies will simply just raise prices even higher to cover their loss to the government. But hey, American's only care about "The Now".

Well to all you sheep out there that think the answer is sticking it to big business and you want to run out and vote for the politician that promises to put more money in your pocket by taking it away from prospering business, did you know that….

Since the 70's America's petroleum production has declined from 10 million barrels a day to 5 million barrels a day.  All the while our consumtion has risen to 20 million barrels a day.  Its supply and demand, we dont produce enough so we have to go somewhere to get it.  The answer would of course be to produce more, right?!  But wait, we would need more refineries for that, righ?!  Yes, so lets build some, ok?! No NOT OK….after Katrina there was a bill in the congress to streamline the process for issuing permits for new oil refineries?  This bill would have encouraged the construction of new oil refineries on closed military bases.  It was blocked in the Senate by Democrats.

I'm reading this article about that marvel of a human being, Cindy Sheehan, and it talks about her recent trip to Canada to attend a rally in support of the U.S. Military Deserters.  Ok, so you join the military, a war breaks out and you desert the country.  Excuse me..what the HELL did you think would happen when you joined the military?  Were you just planning on attending boot camp, make the tax payers pay for your education and your on your way????  You took a gamble, a war broke out, now the country expects you to live up to your commitment.  Even if you dont agree with the war, and that is your right as protected ny the constitution, you still made a commitment.  Hell, I dont want to go to war, so you know what I do…I stay my ass out of the military.

I wonder how much Cindy Sheehan's son, who died fighting for his country, would appreciate his mom support of his fellow soldiers who abandoned those still fighting the war.

"The entire country may disagree with me, but I don't understand the necessity for patriotism.  Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country… I don't see why people care about patriotism." -Natalie Maines

If you dont like the country you live in you and you have the amount of money Natalie Maines has…you are FREE to move.  However, I cant think of another country on the planet that would enjoy the "Nasaly Twang" Natalie calls music.  At least not one that would reward her with the amounts of money she has earned in America.  But as always she is FREE to go somewhere else and try.

Let me also add that Natalie said this to a reproter from the London Telegraph.  This reporter was from the same country where she first got herself into trouble three years ago claiming that she was "Ashamed to be from the same state as President Bush."  I wonder…who is she trying to suck up to over in London?

I dont care who you are or what kind of day you have had, when you walk through a door and a little 2 year old girl screams "DADDY!" as she runs up and hugs your leg….well it just makes all that other stuff go away.

Life is not about what has happened in the past, or what may happen in the future, it's about right now, it's about the ride.  What's the point in doing all this if you don't at least enjoy the ride?

aa.gifThis is the new group put together by Tom DeLong, the former Blink 182 guitarist.  I have really enjoyed this album since I got it.  Its got that Blink 182 "overtone" in the rhythm, but without all that heavy punk style drums that Blink albums had.  The lyrics are also alot deeper than the Blink 182 "party" lyrics.  I'd give it an 8 out of 10.  Just listen to the sampler on amazon.com and judge for yourself.

My Answer to the Immigration Problem 06.12.06

This morning I read in the news that murder, rape and other violent crimes was up by 4.8% the past year, accoring to FBI records.  This is terrible.  Not only becuase it shows that we as a nation could care less about or fellow citizens, but the rest of us honest, law abiding, hard working citizens must now support these violent criminals through tax dollars.

Recently, I have had several conversations with a friend of mine about "The Answer to the Immigration Problem."  Personally I never really cared to find one.  I dont really care if they come in or out of country as long as they pay taxes to support them taking part in the "American Dream."  Whatever that is, is up to your speculation. I have no doubt that immigrants coming into this country are hard workers.  And I will even go as far as to say that I think the majority of them are honest and want to be law abiding.

So here is my proposal.  Since there are so many violent criminals already here in America.  And so many hard workers in Mexico striving to get into America, I think the US needs to work out a land lease system with Mexico whereas the Mexican Government would supply the US land in the middle of the Mexican desert, supply the labor to build prisons on this land, and in exchange for 1 year's worth of labor on the Mexican/American Prison's we would exchange one violent criminal for one hard working mexican immigrant who would upon completion of the 1 year's worth of labor recieve full citizenship and the rights of any other American. At the same time the citizenship and rights of the violent criminal exchanged would be stripped.
