Can you guess?  Well if you have a pulse and are paid up on your cable bills you would know that it has been a year since the Katrina disaster.  Now we have Ernesto.  Which is your everyday tropical storm that pushes through the Carribean every year.  Hell, Jennifer and I used to head down to the Carribean or Mexico every year at this time cause the resorts were so cheap at this time of year.  Every year there was a storm, no big deal though.  Watch the TV newscasts and weathercasts very carefully in the coming weeks. Since we are at the one-year anniversary of Katrina, Katrina must be mentioned in all stories dealing with Ernesto or any other tropical storm for that matter.  With every newscast the media has to somehow make people believe that they are going to see another disaster of the Katrina scale.  The media must make sure that everyone is in a Panic.  Because that is what sells. Florida has declared a state of emergency.  Ernesto is only a tropical storm, and Jeb Bush is declaring a state of emergency.

Now we’re hearing all about how George Bush failed in the New Orleans disaster.  Not Ray (You can Quote me, until it gets me in trouble then I take it back) Nagin.  Remember, he is a Democrat.  There was only one person in this country who was supposed to save the day for the people of New Orleans .. and that person was George Bush.

Also … in all of these “look back” at Katrina specials do you think the media will report about all of the Katrina deadbeats who are still freeloading off our tax dollars and donations?  I’ve got my TIVO ready for that one.  To date, no one has held the democrats that ran Louisiana accountable for the New Orleans disaster.  Everyone want to blame George W. Bush and FEMA.  When will the Democrats that run that state receive the proper blame?  Or not even blame, I would settle for then standing up and saying…”You know we screwed up.”

Aint gonna happen folks…Democrats love to blame.  “It’s all your fault…Now GIMMIE GIMMIE

I submit that peace is not the absence of war, but the presence of justice. Today, a massive, advanced plot to blow up multiple airliners flying to the U.S. from Britain was foiled, with over 20 suspects arrested with everything they needed to do the job in their possession. Sane men do not want war, but their are those out there who have a death wish for themselves and the rest of us with it, to the glory of Allah….. Open war has been declared, whether we want it or not.

“It is completely absurd that the vote of someone who has squandered every educational opportunity placed in front of them, who has failed to develop a work ethic, who downloaded a litter of skateboard riders and graffiti artists they can’t afford to raise, and who now depends on legalized plunder for their very existence, should count as much as the vote of someone who works hard, agonizes over choices and makes the right decisions, provides for their own family and plans for the future without having to dive into someone else’s pocket.”

“Somebody’s Gotta Say It”  by Neal Boortz.  Regan Books.  Spring, 2007

Voting can be a powerful thing when you exercise your priviledge to do so.  However, I think that priviledge needs to be earned.  Those who suck off society should not have the priviledge of electing who is going to run this country.

Bush and the NAACP 07.20.06

I just got through and article on Drudge about Bush’s visit and speech with the NCAAP.  I found the follwing paragraph especially interesting. It’s a quote from Bush.

“I consider it a tragedy that the party of Abraham Lincoln let go of its historical ties with the African-American community,” Bush said. “For too long, my party wrote off the African-American vote, and many African-Americans wrote off the Republican Party.”

Now the comment itself is not that important to me.  What I find strage when it comes down to it is the use of the phrase African-American.  To think that now, in 2006, that anyone would use the term or that anyone would want to be reffered to as Africa-American is beyond me.  Why can’t we just be American’s.  Why can’t we just be people.  The majority of the people in that room have never been to Africa, nor do they actually have real concept of African heritage.  Now im not trying to put up a racist front here.  I feel the same way about Mexican-Americans, or Cuban-Americans.  Your either Cuban or your American.  Its just weird to me how we classify people.  By the same token, why would anyone want to be called black, or white for that matter.  Would’nt Bush’s speech had the same impact if he had said

“I consider it a tragedy that the party of Abraham Lincoln let go of its historical ties with YOUR COMMUNITY community,” Bush said. “For too long, my party wrote off YOUR vote, and many OF YOU wrote off the Republican Party.”

You another thought I had was this…

NAAPC = National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  Does it matter what color or are all welcome?

flag.gifI guess it is true what they say, “Mexico is a few years behind the United States.”  In this case about 6. Oh those crazy leftists.

Mexico’s leftist party demanded Tuesday that electoral officials recount every vote cast in the country’s closest presidential race ever, claiming the balloting was manipulated and renewing fears that its fiery candidate will launch massive street protests if he doesn’t get his way.

We have a name for that where I come from.  “Sore Looser!”

Let's see Zarqawi is dead, Sadam is no longer in power, millions liberated, there is good evidence that the Iraqi insurgency is on the run soooooo…..

It's time to cut and run.  Bring the troops home.  The war is a failure, they say.

First the Democrats said we need to "PULL OUT" of Iraq.

Then we needed to think about "RE-DEPLOYMENT"  (re deply to where?)

Now we need to "EMPOWER" Iraq, by leaving.

Anyway you slice it, is is "Leftist Defeatism" at its best. Failure in Iraq is not too great a price to pay for a Democratic victory in November.

The Democrats strategy is simple: Bush must fail, most Democrats are sheep, so back to the game plan…"The War is a Failure, Bush is a Terrorist, Its a War for Oil"

Without being able to run against the war in Iraq, they don't have much.

"The entire country may disagree with me, but I don't understand the necessity for patriotism.  Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country… I don't see why people care about patriotism." -Natalie Maines

If you dont like the country you live in you and you have the amount of money Natalie Maines has…you are FREE to move.  However, I cant think of another country on the planet that would enjoy the "Nasaly Twang" Natalie calls music.  At least not one that would reward her with the amounts of money she has earned in America.  But as always she is FREE to go somewhere else and try.

Let me also add that Natalie said this to a reproter from the London Telegraph.  This reporter was from the same country where she first got herself into trouble three years ago claiming that she was "Ashamed to be from the same state as President Bush."  I wonder…who is she trying to suck up to over in London?
